Heathrow Online reservation & quote form Terminal 1 began operating in 1968 and was formally opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in May 1969. Today 13 airlines operate from Terminal 1, carrying 25 million passengers. All Heathrow's domestic flights operate from Terminal 1, as well as European and long-haul destinations. Check-in and Departures for domestic destinations operate from the first floor of Terminal 1, on the left of the concourse. Check-in desks for international flights are located in the middle and on the right of the concourse. International flights - check in 3 hours prior to departure Arrivals for international passengers are located on the ground floor of Terminal 1. Domestic, Republic of Ireland and Channel Island arriving passengers and baggage reclaim are located on the first floor of Terminal 1. You can check arrival times online here. International connections do not need to go through Immigrations or Customs but all International to Domestic connections do. Domestic to International connections can use the special Immigration check points if baggage is through-checked. Baggage storage is available from Terminal 2.
